  1. Surely it is from Sulaiman, and surely it is in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful;

  2. It was said to her: Enter the palace; but when she saw it she deemed it to be a great expanse of water, and bared her legs. He said: Surely it is a palace made smooth with glass. She said: My Lord! surely I have been unjust to myself, and I submit with Sulaiman to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  3. And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers.

  4. And you see the mountains, you think them to be solid, and they shall pass away as the passing away of the cloud-- the handiwork of Allah Who has made every thing thoroughly; surely He is Aware of what you do.

  5. Surely Firon exalted himself in the land and made its people into parties, weakening one party from among them; he slaughtered their sons and let their women live; surely he was one of the mischiefmakers.

  6. And he went into the city at a time of unvigilance on the part of its people, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his party and the other of his foes, and he who was of his party cried out to him for help against him who was of his enemies, so Musa struck him with his fist and killed him. He said: This is on account of the Shaitan's doing; surely he is an enemy, openly leading astray.

  7. He said: My Lord! surely I have done harm to myself, so do Thou protect me. So He protected him; surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.

  8. And Musa said: My Lord knows best who comes with guidance from Him, and whose shall be the good end of the abode; surely the unjust shall not be successful.

  9. So he went forth to his people in his finery. Those who desire this world's life said: O would that we had the like of what Qaroun is given; most surely he is possessed of mighty good fortune.

  10. And Lut believed in Him, and he said: I am fleeing to my Lord, surely He is the Mighty, the Wise.

  11. And We granted him Ishaq and Yaqoub, and caused the t prophethood and the book to remain in his seed, and We gave him his reward in this world, and in the hereafter he will most surely be among the good.

  12. That He may reward those who believe and do good out of His grace; surely He does not love the unbelievers.

  13. Surely We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to be unfaithful to it and feared from it, and man has turned unfaithful to it; surely he is unjust, ignorant;

  14. Say: If I err, I err only against my own soul, and if I follow a right direction, it ?s because of what my Lord reveals to me; surely He is Hearing, Nigh.

  15. That He may pay them back fully their rewards and give them more out of His grace: surely He is Forgiving, Multiplier of rewards.

  16. Surely Allah is the Knower of what is unseen m the heavens and the earth; surely He is Cognizant of what IS m the hearts.

  17. Surely Allah upholds the heavens and the earth lest they come to naught; and if they should come to naught, there Is none who can uphold them after Him; surely He is the Forbearing, the Forgiving.

  18. Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them while they were stronger than these in power? And Allah is not such that any thing in the heavens or in the earth should escape Him; surely He is Knowing, Powerful.

  19. Did I not charge you, O children of Adam ! that you should not serve the Shaitan? Surely he is your open enemy,

  20. Surely he was of Our believing servants.

  21. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.

  22. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.

  23. If you are ungrateful, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient above all need of you; and He does not like ungratefulness in His servants; and if you are grateful, He likes it in you; and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, then will He inform you of what you did; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the breasts.

  24. Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.

  25. That was because there came to them their messengers with clear arguments, but they rejected (them), therefore Allah destroyed them; surely He is Strong, Severe in retribution.

  26. Surely (as for) those who dispute about the communications of Allah without any authority that has come to them, there is naught in their breasts but (a desire) to become great which they shall never attain to; Therefore seek refuge in Allah, surely He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

  27. And if an interference of the Shaitan should cause you mischief, seek refuge in Allah; surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

  28. And among His signs is this, that you see the earth still, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells: most surely He Who gives it life is the Giver of life to the dead; surely He has power over all things.

  29. Surely they who deviate from the right way concerning Our communications are not hidden from Us. What! is he then who is cast into the fire better, or he who comes safe on the day of resurrection? Do what you like, surely He sees what you do.

  30. Surely those who disbelieve in the reminder when it comes to them, and most surely it is a Mighty Book:

  31. Now surely they are in doubt as to the meeting of their Lord; now surely He encompasses all things.

  32. His are the treasures of the heavens and the earth; He makes ample and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases; surely He is Cognizant of all things.

  33. Or do they say: He has forged a lie against Allah? But if Allah pleased, He would seal your heart; and Allah will blot out the falsehood and confirm the truth with His words; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the breasts.

  34. And if Allah should amplify the provision for His servants they would certainly revolt in the earth; but He sends it down according to a measure as He pleases; surely He is Aware of, Seeing, His servants.

  35. And the recompense of evil is punishment like it, but whoever forgives and amends, he shall have his reward from Allah; surely He does not love the unjust.

  36. Or He makes them of both sorts, male and female; and He makes whom He pleases barren; surely He is the Knowing, the Powerful.

  37. And it is not for any mortal that Allah should speak to them, they could not bear to hear and they did not see.

  38. And surely it is in the original of the Book with Us, truly elevated, full of wisdom.

  39. Save Him Who created me, for surely He will guide me.

  40. And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned.

  41. And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.

  42. And let not the Shaitan prevent you; surely he is your j open enemy.

  43. A mercy from your Lord, surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing,

  44. From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant.

  45. Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful.

  46. Have they not considered that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth and was not tired by their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Aye! He has surely power over all things.

  47. And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak.

  48. They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing.

  49. Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful.

  50. And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew;

  51. Most surely it is an honored Quran,

  52. Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did.

  53. And conceal your word or manifest it; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the hearts.

  54. Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)? What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.

  55. And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. Those who disbelieved show their ridicule in their eyes when they hear the message and say, "He is crazy!"

  56. Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great,

  57. Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Messenger,

  58. And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).

  59. And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers.

  60. And most surely it is the true certainty

  61. Then I said, Ask forgiveness of your Lord, surely He is the most Forgiving:

  62. Except to him whom He chooses as a messenger; for surely He makes a guard to march before him and after him,

  63. By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications.

  64. Surely he reflected and guessed,

  65. Nay! it is surely an admonition.

  66. Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.

  67. Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger,

  68. Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers.

  69. Surely he thought that he would never return.

  70. Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces,

  71. Most surely He is able to return him (to life).

  72. Most surely it is a decisive word,

  73. Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden.

  74. And most surely he is a witness of that.

  75. And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

  76. Then celebrate the praise of your Lord, and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-returning (to mercy).
