شَفَٰعَة

Appears 10 times in the Quran. (Root: شفع)
  1. And be on your guard against a day when one soul shall not avail another in the least, neither shall intercession on its behalf be accepted, nor shall any compensation be taken from it, nor shall they be helped.

  2. And be on your guard against a day when no soul shall avail another in the least neither shall any compensation be accepted from it, nor shall intercession profit it, nor shall they be helped.

  3. O you who believe! spend out of what We have given you before the day comes in which there is no bargaining, neither any friendship nor intercession, and the unbelievers-- they are the unjust.

  4. Whoever joins himself (to another) in a good cause shall have a share of it, and whoever joins himself (to another) in an evil cause shall have the responsibility of it, and Allah controls all things.

  5. They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah.

  6. On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent Allah allows and whose word He is pleased with.

  7. And intercession will not avail aught with Him save of him whom He permits. Until when fear shall be removed from their hearts, They shall say: What is it that your Lord said? They shall say: The truth. And He is the Most High, the Great.

  8. Say: Allah's is the intercession altogether; His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you shall be brought back.

  9. And those whom they call upon besides Him have no authority for intercession, but he who bears witness of the truth and they know (him).

  10. So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them.
