نَسِىَ

Appears 5 times in the Quran. (Root: نسي)
  1. And who is more unjust than he who is reminded of the communications of his Lord, then he turns away from them and forgets what his two hands have sent before? Surely We have placed veils over their hearts lest they should understand it and a heaviness in their ears; and if you call them to the guidance, they will not ever follow the right course in that case.

  2. So he brought forth for them a calf, a (mere) body, which had a mooing sound, so they said: This is your god and the god of Musa, but he forgot.

  3. And certainly We gave a commandment to Adam before, but he forgot; and We did not find in him any determination.

  4. And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten?

  5. And when distress afflicts a man he calls upon his Lord turning to Him frequently; then when He makes him possess a favor from Him, he forgets that for which he called upon Him before, and sets up rivals to Allah that he may cause (men) to stray off from His path. Say: Enjoy yourself in your ungratefulness a little, surely you are of the inmates of the fire.
