مُتَّقِين

  1. This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil).

  2. So We made them an example to those who witnessed it and those who came after it, and an admonition to those who guard (against evil).

  3. It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but righteousness is this that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for (the emancipation of) the captives, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts-- these are they who are true (to themselves) and these are they who guard (against evil).

  4. Bequest is prescribed for you when death approaches one of you, if he leaves behind wealth for parents and near relatives, according to usage, a duty (incumbent) upon those who guard (against evil).

  5. The Sacred month for the sacred month and all sacred things are (under the law of) retaliation; whoever then acts aggressively against you, inflict injury on him according to the injury he has inflicted on you and be careful (of your duty) to Allah and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

  6. And for the divorced women (too) provision (must be made) according to usage; (this is) a duty on those who guard (against evil).

  7. Yea, whoever fulfills his promise and guards (against evil)-- then surely Allah loves those who guard (against evil).

  8. And whatever good they do, they shall not be denied it, and Allah knows those who guard (against evil).

  9. And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil).

  10. This is a clear statement for men, and a guidance and an admonition to those who guard (against evil).

  11. And relate to them the story of the two sons of Adam with truth when they both offered an offering, but it was accepted from one of them and was not accepted from the other. He said: I I will most certainly slay you. (The other) said: Allah only accepts from those who guard (against evil).

  12. And We sent after them in their footsteps Isa, son of Marium, verifying what was before him of the Taurat and We gave him the Injeel in which was guidance and light, and verifying what was before it of Taurat and a guidance and an admonition for those who guard (against evil).

  13. Musa said to his people: Ask help from Allah and be patient; surely the land is Allah's; He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He pleases, and the end is for those who guard (against evil).

  14. And what (excuse) have they that Allah should not chastise them while they hinder (men) from the Sacred Mosque and they are not (fit to be) guardians of it; its guardians are only those who guard (against evil), but most of them do not know.

  15. Except those of the idolaters with whom you made an agreement, then they have not failed you in anything and have not backed up any one against you, so fulfill their agreement to the end of their term; surely Allah loves those who are careful (of their duty).

  16. How can there be an agreement for the idolaters with Allah and with His Messenger; except those with whom you made an agreement at the Sacred Mosque? So as long as they are true to you, be true to them; surely Allah loves those who are careful (of their duty).

  17. Surely the number of months with Allah is twelve months in Allah's ordinance since the day when He created the heavens and the earth, of these four being sacred; that is the right reckoning; therefore be not unjust to yourselves regarding them, and fight the polytheists all together as they fight you all together; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

  18. They do not ask leave of you who believe in Allah and the latter day (to stay away) from striving hard with their property and their persons, and Allah knows those who guard (against evil).

  19. O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

  20. These are announcements relating to the unseen which We reveal to you, you did not know them-- (neither) you nor your people-- before this; therefore be patient; surely the end is for those who guard (against evil).

  21. A likeness of the garden which the righteous are promised; there now beneath it rivers, its food and shades are perpetual; this is the requital of those who guarded (against evil), and the requital of the unbelievers is the fire.

  22. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains:

  23. And it is said to those who guard (against evil): What is it that your Lord has revealed? They say, Good. For those who do good in this world is good, and certainly the abode of the hereafter is better; and certainly most excellent is the abode of those who guard (against evil);

  24. The gardens of perpetuity, they shall enter them, rivers flowing beneath them; they shall have in them what they please. Thus does Allah reward those who guard (against evil),

  25. The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors

  26. So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people.

  27. And certainly We gave to Musa and Haroun the Furqan and a light and a reminder for those who would guard (against evil).

  28. And certainly We have sent to you clear communications and a description of those who have passed away before you, and an admonition to those who guard (against evil).

  29. Say: Is this better or the abiding garden which those who guard (against evil) are promised? That shall be a reward and a resort for them.

  30. And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil).

  31. And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil),

  32. (As for) that future abode, We assign it to those who have no desire to exalt themselves in the earth nor to make mischief and the good end is for those who guard (against evil)

  33. Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked?

  34. This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil),

  35. And he who brings the truth and (he who) accepts it as the truth-- these are they that guard (against evil).

  36. Or it should say: Had Allah guided me, I would certainly have been of those who guard (against evil);

  37. And (other) embellishments of gold; and all this is naught but provision of this world's life, and the hereafter is with your Lord only for those who guard (against evil).

  38. The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil).

  39. Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place,

  40. Surely they shall not avail you in the least against Allah; and surely the unjust are friends of each other, and Allah is the guardian of those who guard (against evil).

  41. A parable of the garden which those guarding (against evil) are promised: Therein are rivers of water that does not alter, and rivers of milk the taste whereof does not change, and rivers of drink delicious to those who drink, and rivers of honey clarified and for them therein are all fruits and protection from their Lord. (Are these) like those who abide in the fire and who are made to drink boiling water so it rends their bowels asunder.

  42. And the garden shall be brought near to those who guard (against evil), not far off:

  43. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains.

  44. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss

  45. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,

  46. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall have with their Lord gardens of bliss.

  47. And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).

  48. Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains,

  49. Surely for those who guard (against evil) is achievement,
