رَبّ

Appears 147 times in the Quran. (Root: ربب)
  1. And when he came to it, a voice was uttered from the right side of the valley in the blessed spot of the bush, saying: O Musa! surely I am Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  2. He said: My Lord! surely I killed one of them, so I fear lest they should slay me;

  3. He said: My Lord! help me against the mischievous people.

  4. The revelation of the Book, there is no doubt in it, is from the Lord of the worlds.

  5. Certainly there was a sign for Saba in their abode; two gardens on the right and the left; eat of the sustenance of your Lord and give thanks to Him: a good land and a Forgiving Lord!

  6. Peace: a word from a Merciful Lord.

  7. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts.

  8. What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds?

  9. My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds.

  10. Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore?

  11. Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe.

  12. And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  13. He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me;

  14. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving.

  15. He said: My Lord! then respite me to the day that they are raised.

  16. And you shall see the angels going round about the throne glorifying the praise of their Lord; and judgment shall be given between them with justice, and it shall be said: All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  17. Allah is He Who made the earth a resting-place for you and the heaven a canopy, and He formed you, then made goodly your forms, and He provided you with goodly things; that is Allah, your Lord; blessed then is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  18. He is the Living, there is no god but He, therefore call on Him, being sincere to Him in obedience; (all) praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  19. Say: I am forbidden to serve those whom you call upon besides Allah when clear arguments have come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded that I should submit to the Lord of the worlds.

  20. Say: What! do you indeed disbelieve in Him Who created the earth in two periods, and do you set up equals with Him? That is the Lord of the Worlds.

  21. And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, so he said: Surely I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds.

  22. Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of power, from what they describe.

  23. Consider his cry: O my Lord! surely they are a people who do not believe.

  24. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure.

  25. There is no god but He; He gives life and causes death, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore.

  26. Therefore to Allah is due (all) praise, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, the Lord of the worlds.

  27. And We have enjoined on man doing of good to his parents; with trouble did his mother bear him and with trouble did she bring him forth; and the bearing of him and the weaning of him was thirty months; until when he attains his maturity and reaches forty years, he says: My Lord! grant me that I may give thanks for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do good which pleases Thee and do good to me in respect of my offspring; surely I turn to Thee, and surely I am of those who submit.

  28. And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak.

  29. And that He is the Lord of the Sirius;

  30. Lord of the East and Lord of the West.

  31. A revelation by the Lord of the worlds.

  32. Like the Shaitan when he says to man: Disbelieve, but when he disbelieves, he says: I am surely clear of you; surely I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

  33. And spend out of what We have given you before death comes to one of you, so that he should say: My Lord! why didst Thou not respite me to a near term, so that I should have given alms and been of the doers of good deeds?

  34. And Allah sets forth an example to those who believe the wife of Firon when she said: My Lord! build for me a house with Thee in the garden and deliver me from Firon and his doing, and deliver me from the unjust people:

  35. It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

  36. But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able

  37. He said: O my Lord! surely I have called my people by night and by day!

  38. Nuh said: My Lord! surely they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children have added to him nothing but loss.

  39. And Nuh said: My Lord! leave not upon the land any dweller from among the unbelievers:

  40. My Lord! forgive me and my parents and him who enters my house believing, and the believing men and the believing women; and do not increase the unjust in aught but destruction!

  41. The Lord of the East and the West-- there is no god but He-- therefore take Him for a protector.

  42. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Beneficent Allah, they shall not be able to address Him.

  43. And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds.

  44. The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds?

  45. So let them serve the Lord of this House

  46. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn,

  47. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men,
