يَوْمَئِذ

  1. And that He might know the hypocrites; and it was said to them: Come, fight in Allah's way, or defend yourselves. They said: If we knew fighting, we would certainly have followed you. They were on that day much nearer to unbelief than to belief. They say with their mouths what is not in their hearts, and Allah best knows what they conceal.

  2. On that day will those who disbelieve and disobey the Messenger desire that the earth were levelled with them, and they shall not hide any word from Allah.

  3. He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him; and this is a manifest achievement.

  4. And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;

  5. And whoever shall turn his back to them on that day-- unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company-- then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah's wrath, and his abode is hell; and an evil destination shall it be.

  6. So when Our decree came to pass, We delivered Salih and those who believed with him by mercy from Us, and (We saved them) from the disgrace of that day; surely your Lord is the Strong, the Mighty.

  7. And you will see the guilty on that day linked together in chains.

  8. And they shall tender submission to Allah on that day; and what they used to forge shall depart from them.

  9. And on that day We will leave a part of them in conflict with another part, and the trumpet will be blown, so We will gather them all together;

  10. And We will bring forth hell, exposed to view, on that day before the unbelievers.

  11. On the day when the trumpet shall be blown, and We will gather the guilty, blue-eyed, on that day

  12. On that day they shall follow the inviter, there is no crookedness in him, and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent Allah so that you shall not hear aught but a soft sound.

  13. On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent Allah allows and whose word He is pleased with.

  14. The kingdom on that day shall be Allah's; He will judge between them; so those who believe and do good will be in gardens of bliss.

  15. So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other.

  16. On that day Allah will pay back to them in full their just reward, and they shall know that Allah is the evident Truth.

  17. On the day when they shall see the angels, there shall be no joy on that day for the guilty, and they shall say: It is a forbidden thing totally prohibited.

  18. The dwellers of the garden shall on that day be in a better abiding-place and a better resting-place.

  19. The kingdom on that day shall rightly belong to the Beneficent Allah, and a hard day shall it be for the unbelievers.

  20. Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it; and they shall be secure from terror on the day.

  21. Then the pleas shall become obscure to them on that day, so they shall not ask each other.

  22. Within a few years. Allah's is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice,

  23. And at the time when the hour shall come, at that time they shall become separated one from the other.

  24. Then turn thy face straight to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which cannot be averted; on that day they shall become separated.

  25. But on that day their excuse shall not profit those who were unjust, nor shall they be regarded with goodwill.

  26. So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another.

  27. And keep them from evil deeds, and whom Thou keepest from evil deeds this day, indeed Thou hast mercy on him, and that is the mighty achievement.

  28. Hearken to your Lord before there comes the day from Allah for which there shall be no averting; you shall have no refuge on that day, nor shall it be yours to make a denial.

  29. The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil).

  30. And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the hour shall come to pass, on that day shall they perish who say false things.

  31. So woe on that day to those who reject (the truth),

  32. So on that day neither man nor jinni shall be asked about his sin.

  33. On that day shall the great event come to pass,

  34. And the heaven shall cleave asunder, so that on that day it shall be frail,

  35. And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above ) I them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power.

  36. On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden.

  37. (Though) they shall be made to see each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children,

  38. That, at that time, shall be a difficult day,

  39. Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to?

  40. With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest.

  41. Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off.

  42. (Some) faces on that day shall be bright,

  43. And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy,

  44. To your Lord on that day shall be the driving.

  45. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  46. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  47. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  48. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  49. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  50. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  51. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  52. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  53. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  54. Woe on that day to the rejecters.

  55. Hearts on that day shall palpitate,

  56. Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him.

  57. (Many) faces on that day shall be bright,

  58. And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust,

  59. The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's.

  60. Woe on that day to the rejecters,

  61. Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord.

  62. (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast,

  63. (Other) faces on that day shall be happy,

  64. And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him?

  65. But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement,

  66. On that day she shall tell her news,

  67. On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works.

  68. Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them.

  69. Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons.
