حَٰفِظ

Appears 13 times in the Quran. (Root: حفظ)
  1. They who turn (to Allah), who serve (Him), who praise (Him), who fast, who bow down, who prostrate themselves, who enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, and who keep the limits of Allah; and give good news to the believers.

  2. Send him with us tomorrow that he may enjoy himself and sport, and surely we will guard him well.

  3. So when they returned to their father, they said: O our father, the measure is withheld from us, therefore send with us our brother, (so that) we may get the measure, and we will most surely guard him.

  4. He said: I cannot trust in you with respect to him, except as I trusted in you with respect to his brother before; but Allah is the best Keeper, and He is the most Merciful of the merciful ones.

  5. Go back to your father and say: O our father! surely your son committed theft, and we do not bear witness except to what we have known, and we could not keep watch over the unseen:

  6. Surely We have revealed the Reminder and We will most surely be its guardian.

  7. And of the rebellious people there were those who dived for him and did other work besides that, and We kept guard over them;

  8. And who guard their private parts,

  9. Surely the men who submit and the women who submit, and the believing men and the believing women, and the obeying men and the obeying women, and the truthful men and the truthful women, and the patient men and the patient women and the humble men and the humble women, and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving women, and the fasting men and the fasting women, and the men who guard their private parts and the women who guard, and the men who remember Allah much and the women who remember-- Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward.

  10. And those who guard their private parts,

  11. And most surely there are keepers over you

  12. And they were not sent to be keepers over them.

  13. There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.
