جِنَّة

Appears 9 times in the Quran. (Root: جنن)
  1. Do they not reflect that their companion has not unsoundness in mind; he is only a plain warner.

  2. Except those on whom your Lord has mercy; and for this did He create them; and the word of your Lord is fulfilled: Certainly I will fill hell with the jinn and the men, all together.

  3. He is only a madman, so bear with him for a time.

  4. Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth.

  5. And if We had pleased We would certainly have given to every soul its guidance, but the word (which had gone forth) from Me was just: I will certainly fill hell with the jinn and men together.

  6. He has forged a lie against Allah or there is madness in him. Nay! those who do not believe in the hereafter are in torment and in great error.

  7. Say: I exhort you only to one thing, that rise up for Allah's sake in twos and singly, then ponder: there is no madness in your fellow-citizen; he is only a warner to you before a severe chastisement.

  8. And they assert a relationship between Him and the jinn; and certainly the jinn do know that they shall surely be brought up;

  9. From among the jinn and the men.
